Rocky Brands announced that Mike Brooks, chairman of the board of directors and interim chief executive officer, has been named chief executive officer of the company. Brooks had been serving as the company’s interim chief executive officer since September 8, 2016, following the resignation of David Sharp as president and chief executive officer. In turn, the company’s board of directors has suspended its previously announced search for a new CEO.
Brooks previously served as chief executive officer of the company from August 1991 to July 2011 before being named interim chief executive officer on September 8, 2016, and has served as chairman of the board of directors since August 1991.
