Rab, Lowe Alpine Names VP of US Sales

Rab and Lowe Alpine, leaders in merging the development of quality outdoor gear and apparel with sustainability and environmental awareness, has named Ross Herr to Vice President of US Sales, putting a proven industry veteran in charge of the companies’ sales direction in the United States.

Herr joins the Rab and Lowe Alpine team after spending the past two years as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Oberalp Group, the European giant that owns outdoor brands Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country, Evolv and LaMunt.

Herr spent eight years working in various sales and marketing positions with the Oberalp Group out of the company’s Colorado office, most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing. He steps into a new role with Rab and Lowe Alpine, and its parent company, Equip.

Herr will be tasked with deepening Equip’s connections to specialty retailers in the United States, developing key account relationships and leading a team of independent sales representatives.

“Over the last several seasons, Equip USA has experienced strong growth. In order to continue our momentum, we require an accomplished sales leader with a broad range of hardgoods and softgoods experience, as well as deep product, sales and marketing expertise,” said Adam Chamberlain, US Country Manager at Rab and Lowe Alpine. “Ross is the perfect fit for our next phase of development in the US. We are especially excited for his energy, demonstrated success with big objectives and we look forward to getting to work.”

Herr is a Colorado native and will work out of the company’s office with Chamberlain in Louisville, Ky. He will officially start his position on Aug. 28.
