Pressio Brings Sustainable Performance Apparel to US

Pressio, a technical apparel company committed to performance and the pursuit of sustainable procurement, announces its launch into the U.S. marketplace. The U.K.-based company aims to be “the most sustainable performance sportswear company in existence.”

The company will exhibit its 2023 product collection for the first time in the United States, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, at The Running Event in Austin, Texas.

Designed to perform and preserve, Pressio was founded and introduced to the European markets in 2021 by Jamie Hunt, a textile engineer and fabric innovator with more than 20 years of experience. Between the years of 2005-2018, Hunt co-founded, built up and sold 2XU, a global athletic clothing brand.

As a former triathlete, Hunt places relentless focus on performance but has often been frustrated by standard manufacturing practices that compromise the planet and the people within the supply chain.

With Pressio, Hunt aims to leverage his relationships to set standards that minimize, control and reduce the impacts of the garments he engineers and brings to market.

“What makes Pressio so unique is our ability to create sustainable products without sacrificing technical performance,” said Todd Schoelen, managing director for Pressio USA. “The U.S. consumer is asking apparel brands for more transparency when it comes to sustainability, and they are diving into what it really means. They not only want recycled materials. They are looking at the entire production process and a garment’s end-of-life impact on the planet. Pressio is addressing it all and delivering on its promise.”

Every garment in the 2023 line has been crafted with the most sustainable materials and technologies available, but not at the expense of real-world athletic performance. Anatomic fit, next-to-skin comfort, moisture management, compression, and ventilation remain top priorities.

Launching in the United States with a full product offering, Pressio will showcase its Elite and Bio Collections, for pinnacle performance and end-of-life biodegradable garment solutions, as well as compression and insulated garments for optimal recovery and thermal performance properties for winter running and training.
