OR’s Opening Happy Hour to Focus on Non-profits

During the first day of the Outdoor Retailer Show – Monday, June 19 in Salt Lake City – the National CleanUp Day organization will hold an “Advocacy Happy Hour” at booth 31037-ST from 3 to 5 p.m. The happy hour will celebrate all the nonprofits, such as National CleanUp Day co-founders Steve Jewett and Bill Willoughby, at the conference. Attendees are welcome.

The event benefits all attending non-profits and the Environmental Alliance. Each non-profit has individual programs and goals. Each also has common ground to protect the outdoors. Let’s talk about solutions to environmental problems over a beer. It’s free and donations are appreciated.

National CleanUp Day, a nationwide volunteer event held every third Saturday in September, will have many thousands participating and cleaning up their communities all across the nation once again this year on September 16.

Among the non-profits listed as participants are the Land Trust Alliance, National Business Coalition for the Ocean, A Thousand Summers, Climbing for Hope, Grand Staircase Escalante Partners and Foster the Earth.

Beer and sodas are free while they last. Bring your reusable cups and have fun.
