OOFOS Expands Board of Directors

Recovery footwear brand OOFOS announced the expansion of its Board of Directors, appointing T-Mobile USA President and CEO John Legere and former Timberland senior executive Mike Harrison as its new members. 

Legere is credited with turning T-Mobile into the fastest-growing wireless telecom carrier in the United States and the nation’s third largest carrier in less than three years. Prior to joining T-Mobile USA in September 2012, he served as CEO of Global Crossing Limited, a telecommunications company, beginning in 2001.  Before Global Crossing, he was CEO of Asia Global Crossing; President of Dell Computer Corporation’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; President, Asia Pacific for Dell; President of AT&T Asia Pacific; head of AT&T’s outsourcing program; and head of AT&T global strategy and business development. Legere currently serves on the Board of Directors of CTIA – The Wireless Association. In addition to the global acclaim that Legere has earned in Corporate America for his many notable business accomplishments, he is also a marathon runner and in 2015 was named as one of “The 50 Most Influential People in Running by Runner’s World magazine. 

For the past three decades, Harrison has built a reputation as an accomplished senior executive and global brand builder in the footwear and consumer goods industries.  Since November 2012, he has served as the principal of IdealStrategy, LLC, a management consulting firm that advises boards and leadership teams of public, private and non-profit enterprises. Since January 2014, he has advised OOFOS on global business development, and also served as Interim CEO from March 2014-May 2015.  He is an independent director on the Board of Select Comfort Corporation, maker of the SleepNumber Bed, where he serves on the Board’s Audit and Corporate Governance and Nominating Committees.  He also serves on the board of Totes-Isotoner, a leading global marketer of umbrellas, gloves, rainwear, slippers and other weather-related accessories.  From 2003 until 2012, he served in a variety of executive positions for Timberland, a leading global brand of outdoor footwear, apparel and gear, including as Chief Brand Officer/Co-President from 2007-2012, as President, CasualGear from 2006-2007; as Senior Vice President: Worldwide Sales & Marketing from 2005-2006; and as Senior Vice President, International from 2003-2005.  Harrison launched his professional career at Procter & Gamble, where for 16 years he served in various marketing and general management roles – in Europe, U.S., Australia and Asia – including as President of Max Factor KK (Japan) and Vice President of Western Europe Cosmetics and Skin Care products.
