OIWC Announces Two New Board Members

The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC recently elected two new members to serve on the national board: Steve Meineke, president of Keen Footwear and Layne Rigney, senior vice president of global sales at CamelBak

In addition to setting policies and priorities, the board also serves the critical role of guiding OIWC’s overall direction. “Both Steve and Layne will play a vital role within the organization by bringing new perspectives that will help in ensure OIWC continues to elevate the business imperative of talent acquisition, retention, and advancement of women,” says Deanne Buck, OIWC executive director.  “We are very pleased to welcome them both to the OIWC’s board.”

Meineke joined Keen Footwear as President June 2014. Prior to Keen, Meineke served as Chief Executive Officer of Accell North America, from April 2013 to June 2014, following eight years as President of Raleigh America, Inc., from Feb 2004 to May 2012.

Prior to CamelBak, Rigney held a variety of senior leadership roles within the outdoor, cycling, and sporting goods industries. “I believe our industries are at a crossroads and that a successful OIWC is the key to effectively building and retaining the teams that are fundamental to the growth and sustainability of our companies and the industry,” explains Rigney “I am honored to join the team and work to create industry-wide success.”
