Oberalp Group Hires Two for Sales, Promotes Three

The Oberalp Group, which owns SALEWA, DYNAFIT, POMOCA, WILD COUNTRY, and EVOLV, has hired Phil Hoffman (pictured) as Sales Manager, Mike Sohasky as Key Account Sales Manager, and it has promoted Steve Goddard, Michael Casarrubia, and Eric Poore to new roles within the company.

Hoffman, who’s passion for climbing has helped him create a long and diverse career in the outdoor industry, joins the Oberalp Group from Boone, N.C., where he had been working in the vertical market on the Sport and Rope Access space for the better part of 20 years. He has held positions as Sales Manager for Misty Mountain Threadworks, NSP Sales Manager for the Vertical Supply Group, owner and operator of a specialty outdoor retail store, Looking Glass Outfitters, and sales rep for Top Gun sales, where he represented Oberalp brands, including Evolv, Wild Country and Salewa.

Hoffman will serve as a sales manager for two of the Oberalp Group’s premiere brands – Wild Country and Evolv.

Oberalp will expand Goddard’s role, as he assumes the title of specialty sales manager. Casarrubia becomes community marketing manager, and Poore is promoted to territory manager. These promotions allow Oberalp to expand and create an in-depth sales and management team for all brands under the Oberalp umbrella.

Sohasky, who is based in Boulder, Colo., joins Oberalp as the key account sales manager with more than 15 years of sales management experience that has been focused primarily in the cycling industry. Sohasky has represented Cannondale, GT, Schwinn and Mongoose during a nine-year tenure at Pacific Cycle, where he held a variety of sales management positions.
