Nocs Provisions Unveils Western Tanager Collection

Nocs Provisions, maker of adventure-ready binoculars, monoculars and accessories, has launched its Western Tanager Collection, a limited edition collection of styles inspired by the eye-catching songbird.

The Western Tanager styles are available in the Zoom Tube monocular and the brand’s three waterproof binoculars: Standard Issue, Field Issue and Pro Issue. Also, a new limited-edition colorway has been introduced across the entire Nocs lineup.

The Western Tanager can be found in the Western United States and Canada in coniferous forests and the high mountains. Their distinctive look makes them hard to miss: a bright yellow body, orange and red head and black wings – like a flying flame in the sky.

Each piece of the Nocs’ new collection is detailed with the rich colors of the Western Tanager. The Zoom Tube is a warm yellow with pops of orange and red. The Standard Issue is a red and orange split-tone colorway with black eye cups. The Field Issue is orange with red eye cups and an oversized yellow focus wheel, and finally, the Pro Issue is deep red with black eye cups and a pop of yellow with an orange focus wheel.

The Zoom Tube monocular is the ultimate lightweight exploration tool. Small enough to pack for any excursion, yet with optics that pack a serious punch. With a wide field of view (384 feet @ 1,000 yards/7.3 degrees) the Zoom Tube allows you to see a wide range while maintaining a close focus of two meters (seven feet) for viewing nature’s smaller details.

This monocular is great for backcountry adventures where every inch of space is helpful. Rugged and water-resistant, the Zoom Tube is built to get out deep into the field and help explore your surroundings. MSRP: $75.

The Standard Issue 8×25 waterproof binoculars are ideal for hiking in the mountains to sightseeing in the city. The fully multi-coated lenses and BaK4 roof prisms produce clear images, so each view is crisp. Completely waterproof (IPX7 certified) and fog proof, the Standard Issue binoculars are made to be taken everywhere. MSRP: $95.

The Field Issue was designed to create the ultimate lightweight, do-it-all binocular built to explore any environment. It integrates premium optical technology from the brand’s standout Pro Issue model while maintaining the compact ruggedness and grippy hand feel that people love about the original Standard Issue waterproof binoculars. Featuring HiFi Fully multi-coated lenses and a BaK4 Prism, it provides a wide, bright, edge-to-edge viewing experience and the ultra-smooth and precise oversized focus wheel offers exceptional central focusing and exacting visual adjustments from 9.3-feet to infinity. Fully waterproof and fog-proof (IPX7 rating), the Field Issue is submersible in up to three feet of water and nitrogen sealed to prevent internal condensation. MSRP $175.

The Pro Issue is Nocs’ premium binocular with a wide field of view (429 feet @ 1,000yd for an eight-times model) that resolves all the way to the edges of the field. The Pro Issues use phase-coated BaK4 roof prisms with a multi-coated eight-piece lens assembly. The result is a bright, wide, color-correct image with high contrast and minimal chromatic aberration. Housed in rugged, medical-grade housing, the Pro Issue is waterproof (IP times seven) and fog proof (O-ring sealed with nitrogen), with multi-stop twist-up eyecups and a smooth central focusing system to create a delightful viewing experience. MSRP $295.
