Maine Outdoor Brands, the non-profit outdoor alliance working to strengthen Maine’s outdoor recreation economy, has hired Jenny Kordick as its first full-time executive director.
Kordick has a decade of experience working with non-profit organizations. She most recently served at The Wilderness Society in Washington, D.C. and in Maine, where she directed campaigns and led coalitions to protect significant outdoor areas and public lands across the country. This experience will allow her to work with a powerful and expanding network of leading businesses united around a clear objective: promoting Maine’s unrivaled outdoor assets for the benefit of businesses and Mainers alike.

Formed two years ago, Maine Outdoor Brands (MOB) unites business leaders and entrepreneurs in raising awareness of Maine’s outdoor recreation economy and strengthens Maine’s outdoor product/service companies through knowledge sharing, collaborative marketing and commerce efforts and access to professional resources. MOB is committed to seeing Maine-based products, services, and retail brands thrive, and today has over 100 members that are a part of the mission. The organization was formed by leaders from Blaze Partners, Good To-Go, Flowfold, Trailspace and Stabil (now owned by Implus) in 2017, and with its rapid growth and the increased demand for more focused guidance, Maine Outdoor Brands saw the need for a full-time executive director to take this group and vision into the future.

With that objective accomplished, this was the logical next step.
