KAVU Closes Seattle Door

Effective this March, KAVU will be refocusing its retail presence in the Emerald City, as the popular lifestyle apparel brand ends a five-year stint downtown to dedicate its full energy to the flagship Ballard, Wash., location.

“For the past 5 years, we have loved meeting KAVU fans from all over the world and serving the downtown Seattle core,” said KAVU founder Barry Barr. “While we’ll miss the business of downtown life, we have found we can connect better with customers in neighborhood locations like our Ballard store.”

KAVU’s Ballard location – 5419 Ballard Ave NW, in Seattle – opened in 2001, and it has been the brand’s flagship store for almost two decades.

“We are honored to be a part of this neighborhood and look forward to many more decades of fun vibes and good times on Ballard Ave,” said Barr. “Please come visit us in Ballard for all things KAVU … you might even find some special items you can’t get anywhere else!”

Keep an eye out for news and events at the flagship store, such art walks, happy hours and more, said Barr.
