Cascade Designs, the parent company of Therm-a-Rest, MSR, Platypus, SealLine, PackTowl and Varilite has appointed Jim Osgood its new president of North America and the Pacific Rim. Osgood brings more than 30 years of executive leadership, strategy and operations experience to the position, which begins Monday.
Osgood previously served as CEO, President and Board Chairman of Klean Kanteen. Before that, he founded Slickrock Concepts, a product strategy and development firm in Denver.
His broad range of experience positions him to serve Cascade Designs well in his new role. Osgood places emphasis on promoting responsible business practices and serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 1% for the Planet. 1% for the Planet is a non-profit organization whose members donate 1 percent of annual sales to fund diverse nonprofits focused on solving environmental issues.
Osgood also is an avid skier, snowboarder, cyclist and triathlete. These activities should serve him well in his new role.
In his new role, Osgood will be splitting his time between Cascade’s Reno and Seattle offices.
