Get in Gear Festival Postponed Until Spring 2022

The Outdoor Gear Builders, the first gear builder association in the outdoor industry, will postpone its Sept. 25 scheduled Get in Gear Festival until spring 2022.

“In light of the current rise of COVID-19 cases and the very contagious Delta variant in the Western North Carolina region, the Outdoor Gear Builders has decided to postpone the 7th annual Get In Gear Fest in order to keep our community safe and not contribute to the rise in cases,” read a statement released September 14.

“We look forward to hosting our in-person Get in Gear Festival from April 23– 24 for a full weekend of fun over Earth Day, featuring exceptional gear, brands and outdoor interactive experiences.

“If you have any questions, please contact Andy Williamson, executive director of Outdoor Gear Builders at ed@outdoorgearbuilders.com.” the statement read.

Since 2013, Outdoor Gear Builders has grown to more than 60 members with the mission to cultivate, connect and support the community of outdoor industry professionals in Western North Carolina. Part of the $28 billion outdoor industry of the state, OGB members include a variety of outdoor industry-focused businesses from manufacturers and nonprofits to retailers, outfitter, and service providers.
