Fleet Feet Sports opened a new franchise store in Davenport, Iowa. Located at Elmore Marketplace, 4257 Elmore Ave., the 2,200-square-foot facility is Fleet Feet’s 161st location. Grand opening festivities were held from April 1 to 3.
The store is owned by Phil Young, who was a corporate footwear buyer at Scheels All Sports and a manager at Running Wild, a three-store independent chain in the Iowa City area. His parents ran Isabel Bloom LLC and Young Art & Sign, both stores located in Davenport.
“For Fleet Feet Sports, it’s always about ‘how can we best support and serve the running community and with a professional like Phil, who’s back in his hometown doing what he loves, it’s just tremendously exciting,” said Fleet Feet Sports CEO Jeff Phillips.
Fleet Feet Sports, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary on National Running Day June 1, also has a store in Iowa in Des Moines.
