Five Sweet Protection Bike Helmets Among Safest In Virginia Tech Ratings

Sweet Protection, a leader in high-performance helmets, goggles and technical clothing, announced that five of its bike helmet models have been named among the safest helmets on the market, tested by the Virginia Tech Biomechanics Helmet Lab.

The Falconer 2Vi Mips Helmet leads the way for Sweet Protection in the t safety ratings, placing second overall out of nearly 200 helmets tested.

Originally released in March, the Falconer 2Vi Mips Helmet received a five-star rating by the Virginia Tech Biomechanics Helmet Lab, which impact-tests helmets to evaluate their ability to reduce linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of impacts a cyclist might experience.

“We’re currently on the podium in every single of our categories: Road bike, Mountain bike, Snow, and White Water,” said Ståle Norman Møller, co-founder and head of products at Sweet Protection. “We are extremely proud of what we’ve been able to achieve.”

The Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips Helmet also received a five-star rating and finished ninth overall.
