FitRankings, a fitness industry’s technologically advanced connected fitness platform, announced a multi-year partnership with USA Cycling. Together FitRankings and USA Cycling will bring engaging virtual rides to participants nationwide.
With a shared passion for building community through meaningful fitness experiences, they’ll kick off a robust 2021 virtual race schedule with the Kittie Knox Challenge.
This month, cyclists everywhere are invited to retrace the iconic journey of Kittie Knox, a pioneering civil rights activist and cyclist. Riders will take a virtual journey from Boston to Asbury Park, New Jersey, taking a stand against racism in cycling and America at-large, just like Knox did more than 100 years ago.
Through the FitRankings platform, participants can use any wearable fitness device, tracker or app to log their mileage and track their virtual progress. All proceeds from the Kittie Knox Challenge will go towards the USA Cycling Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Fund.
“We look forward to creating meaningful virtual challenges with FitRankings in the coming years, as we strive to implement initiatives that encourage and facilitate an inclusive culture of equity in cycling. FitRankings has set itself apart with its platform, technology and support and provided an invaluable solution for purpose-driven organizations. We’re committed to moving the needle towards fairness. Through this challenge, we’re striving to raise $10,000 to go towards empowering groups, organizations, and programs that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the cycling community,” said Rob Demartini, CEO of USAC in a prepared statement.
Throughout the year, USAC will be the host for a number of virtual challenges, engaging with its broad participant base using FitRankings’ connected fitness platform. USA Cycling challenge participants will be able to register, pay and engage with the community within the USA Cycling website thanks to the sophistication and turnkey nature of FitRankings’ technology.
Real-time challenge updates, social functionality and messaging capabilities ensure all participants stay informed and engaged, creating the best virtual challenge experience possible.
