Fisher + Baker, a growing menswear brand dedicated to timeless style and technically advanced fabrics, has partnered with Pale Morning Media public relations to support its US launch.
Founded by designer and craftsman Greg Horvitz, and named after two of his maker passions, Fisher + Baker’s concise collection of shirts, jackets and outerwear excels as a hybrid of stylish menswear and outdoor lifestyle apparel, said the company.
“Fisher + Baker is founded on a simple recipe: make remarkable clothing and build strong relationships with retailers,” said Horvitz.
“The thing that attracted us to Fisher + Baker was how easily they’ve been able to create distinctive outdoor apparel that we don’t already have in our closets,” said Drew Simmons, founder and president of Pale Morning Media. “They’ve done it by redefining the idea of ‘aspirational’ in the outdoor marketplace to include a much more stylish, everyday aesthetic.”
Spotlight items from Fisher + Baker’s 2017 Autumn/Winter collection include:
- The iconic Chelsea Trench ($548), made with 3-ply 20k/20k waterproof fabric, taped seams and a removable hood, was designed for the worst in autumn downpours, but lo0ks ready for an interview uptown. The unique Japanese Block Tapey closures along the storm flap hide a Napoleon-style media pocket, allowing phone access without unzipping the jacket. Available in navy, noir and olive.
- The Birmingham CPO Jacket ($448) was inspired by the classic “chief petty officer’s” jacket – a button-up ready to take on the elements, but comfortable with authority. Features a Schoeller™ water resistant wool exterior and Primaloft Gold insulation complimented by diamond-quilted shouldering and ultrasuede trim. Available in slate and midnight.
- The Everyday Cashmere Long Sleeve Crew ($118), built with a supple blend of cashmere and drirelease™ technology, defines performance comfort. The modern fit and understated shoulder panel design make it both a perfect base layer or a cozy addition to a collared shirt. Available in port, slate, black and navy.
Fisher + Baker’s retailer network includes partners in both the US and in Japan. To help the brand grow and thrive, Fisher + Baker hosts regular retail advisory board meetings to discuss strategy and market trends.
