EcoVessel Announces Acquisition of U-Konserve

This week, EcoVessel announced its acquisition of food storage and reusable container company U-Konserve. The merger with Sausalito, Calif.-based U-Konserve will bring the companies together to offer customers a full line-up of “zero-waste” reusable drinkware and food storage containers and accessories, said EcoVessel.

Moving forward, the companies will share supply chain, warehousing, marketing and distribution networks. Jon Fox, founder and CEO of EcoVessel, will be the CEO of the combined business.

Customers and retail buyers can expect to see new products from the companies later this fall and early next year. Products on the horizon include a telescopic stainless-steel straw, reusable utensil sets and new insulated travel mugs. U-Konserve recently launched a sleek new line of plastic-free stainless steel food containers with clear-as-glass silicone lids.

“As EcoVessel looks to lessen our impact on the environment and planet, we are excited to partner with a like-minded brand who shares our philosophy and mission to eliminate single-use plastics,” said Fox. “U-Konserve has some very exciting things in development and we welcome the U-Konserve team and their customers to the EcoVessel family.”

“While staying true to our mission to reduce waste, our exciting new partnership will help grow both sustainable brands by combining EcoVessel’s hydration expertise together with U-Konserve’s food-storage focus, to offer innovative products to help people wherever they might be on their zero-waste journey,” said Chance Claxton, founder of U-Konserve.
