Down Decor, creator of DownTek hydrophobic down technology, announced three new key partnerships with Eddie Bauer, GoLite and Kathmandu. The latest additions to DownTek’s partner roster fill an assembly of established brand partners that includes LLBean, Mountain Hardwear, Salomon, Big Agnes, EMS, Salewa, Brooks-Range, NEMO, Sea to Summit, Mountain Designs, Millet, Fly Low, Jottnar, Peak Performance, Helsport, Halti, Reecho, Camofire and Obermeyer.
Eddie Bauer will partner with DownTek on its premium StormRepel Down line of First Ascent sleeping bags, said Mark Correll, Eddie Bauer’s Divisional Product Line Manager. “We took our time to carefully test and evaluate multiple hydrophobic down applications. The DownTek technology far and away was the best in hydrophobic capabilities and longevity proven through independent labs as well as surviving our ‘Guide Built’ process.”
