Dometic, a global market leader in branded solutions for mobile living in areas of food and beverage, climate, power and control as well as other applications, has entered into an agreement to acquire Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters, a provider of high-quality roof racks, load bars, storage solutions and off-road accessories for the vehicle-based outdoor market.
The transaction is expected to strengthen the Front Runner and Dometic product offering and distribution network, servicing the vehicle-based outdoor market.
Dometic has identified the vehicle-based outdoor market as a strong opportunity for growth. Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters, with its high-quality roof racks and adjacent products for the outdoor market, is a perfect fit to Dometic’s existing outdoor offering of tents, cooler boxes and mobile power solutions.
Dometic, which is headquartered in Stockholm, operates in the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Asia Pacific, providing products for use in recreational vehicles, trucks and premium cars, pleasure and workboats, and for a variety of other uses. It sells in approximately 100 countries and has a global distribution and dealer network in place.
Front Runner serves the Australian, European, South African, European and United States markets through separate regional offices. Its products are sold through its B2C channels and a well-established network that is more than 1,000 dealers strong.
The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter. No information was provided regarding cost of the acquisition.
