Dick’s Sporting Goods this weekend is adding a new Dick’s store to an existing Golf Galaxy location.
The Grand Opening weekend celebration will be held in Raleigh, N.C. at Pleasant Valley Promenade (6254 Glenwood Ave.) on August 10 – 12. With this new store opening, Dick’s will have 729 sporting goods locations nationwide in 47 states.
The new location will bring approximately 70 collective jobs to the community through the hiring of full-time, part-time and temporary associates for this store, said the company.
“Raleigh has proven to have a thriving golf community who we’ve served with a Golf Galaxy at this location for many years,” said Scott Hudler, senior vice president & chief marketing officer, Dick’s Sporting Goods. “However, we also identified a larger opportunity to serve the sports and outdoors enthusiasts who live, work and play here. With the addition of a Dick’s Sporting Goods to the Pleasant Valley Promenade, the community can enjoy access to get all of their sports, outdoor and golf needs under one roof.”
For the grand opening weekend, customers will have the chance to win great prizes and meet a special guest, former Carolina left winger Erik Cole.
