Db Becomes Certified B Corporation

Db, the Scandinavian luggage company, has become a certified B Corporation, joining a group of companies that have met rigorous social and environmental standards representing their commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.

To complete the certification, Db has committed to being legally accountable to all of its stakeholders, including workers, communities, customers, suppliers and the environment, as well as shareholders.

Tangible steps have been taken including a transition from virgin fabrics to 100 percent recycled and GRS-certified fabrics, all products are free of harmful perfluorochemicals, 94 percent of all fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified, and the company offsets more than 100 percent of CO2e emissions it hasn’t been able to cut yet.

Db also has committed to offering repaired, second-hand products to 64 percent of its customer base, enrolling all its manufacturers in a decarbonization program, offering a limited lifetime warranty on a complete product range for Db Black members, and offering programs and policies to promote diversity, equity and inclusion and paid community service days.
