Chemours Releases Corporate Responsibility Report

The Chemours Company has released its first Corporate Responsibility Commitment Report. The report includes a summary of a “bedrock commitment” expressed in 10 goals the company will strive to achieve by 2030, as well as highlights of progress already made in pursuit of its ambitious goals.

The corporate responsibility commitment (CRC) is built on three pillars, said the company, an evolved portfolio, inspired people and solutions that benefit our shared planet.

“It is a cornerstone of the company’s pivot from transformation to growth and an outward expression of who we are and how we operate,” said Mark Vergnano, company president and CEO, and Paul Kirsch,

President of Fluoroproducts, in a letter to partners and customers.

“Without question, this work starts with us.  It is grounded in our corporate values and our growth strategy.   But it’s also very much about you, our valued customers and partners.  We know you expect us to act with a keen sense of social responsibility, and the actions outlined in the CRC report demonstrate that we’ve listened … to you, the communities in which we operate, and the world at large,” continued the letter.

In related news, following the the announcement of Huntsman and The Chemours Company expanding the long-term alliance around DWR and stain finishes, the Brand/Retailer pull-through marketing for Teflon textile finishes (Teflon fabric protector, Teflon EcoElite finish, and Teflon Eco finish) is now being managed by Chemours Alliance Partner, Huntsman Textile Effects. For the North America region this person will be John Williams, John_D_Williams@huntsman.com or 336-442-1207.

The Chemours Company will still manage the Teflon textile finishes brand usage and logo. For North America, these brand questions can be addressed by Christa Kaiser, christa.a.kaiser@chemours.com or 302-773-1258, who will be taking on new marketing responsibilities at Chemours.
