Chaco Establishes Relief Fund for Tennessee Wildfire Victims

The East Tennessee Red Cross is working tirelessly to recover missing residents and provide assistance to the many thousands of people who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones due to the recent devastating wildfires near Gatlinburg, Tenn., and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Chaco and its parent company Wolverine Worldwide have established a fundraising campaign to support these efforts.

Pledging an initial $5,000 to the Red Cross’s relief efforts, they are now offering a 2:1 match for all new donations. For every $1 donated, the company will contribute $2, up to an additional $20,000.

“This tragedy hit home for everyone on our team,” said Seth Cobb, president of Chaco. “So many members of the Chaco community were impacted – friends, customers, retail store staff – that we felt urgent action was needed. We hope many more individuals will join us as we look to help people recover and rebuild.”
