Sock and accessories brand Bridgedale is bringing North American distribution in house, enabling direct investment into the U.S. and Canadian markets to drive future growth within the outdoor, ski, trail and running sectors.
The first step was the appointment of Colin Sanders as Brand President North America. Colin worked with Bridgedale’s former distributor, Terramar Inc., as Bridgedale Brand Director, and prior to that as Sales and Marketing Director with Lorpen Technical Socks.
This move follows two buoyant years of sales growth under distributor Terramar Inc.
Bridgedale North America is setting up a new sales and administrative office in Toronto, operational from April 1, 2015, where Sanders will be joined by Anna Nikolaus, Paula Stevens and Bill Wetheral.
For continuity during the immediate future, warehousing will remain in North Carolina and will handle shipping to USA and Canadian customers, the latter will not see any difference in their prices or invoices. Duties and brokerage will be handled by Bridgedale North America.
