Big Agnes Names Sespe Group to Represent Brand in Southwest

Big Agnes Inc., the Steamboat Springs-based outdoor equipment brand, announced Sespe Group will represent the brand in the Southwest territory, which includes Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada.

Based in California, the Sespe Group represents premium brands in the outdoor industry including Petzl, SCARPA, Cotopaxi and Outdoor Research.

“The Southwest territory is a critical market for Big Agnes, with large population centers and high participation in outdoor pursuits, so we partnered with a progressive sales team to work with our accounts to help grow our sales there,” said Jill Lewis, director of North American Sales. “For 20 years, Big Agnes has earned the reputation for being innovative and true to our roots and we’re confident that the Sespe Group is the agency that best represents those qualities.”

The Sespe Group comprises three experienced sales representatives with core experience in the outdoors – professionally and personally:

  • Chris Morrisette, principal rep at Sespe Group, has a nearly two-decade long career in the industry. Morrisette grew up in the American Southwest, spending many of his childhood winters in Joshua Tree at his family’s cabin, and he was exposed to rock climbing before he could even walk.
  • Natalie Walker, sales representative at Sespe Group, was introduced to rock climbing nearly 10 years ago, and since then, has immersed herself in many outdoor activities such as hiking, peak bagging, skiing and alpine climbing.
  • Wes Jones, tech rep at Sespe Group, brings over 16 years of climbing experience to his role. He has worked in the industry as a retail sales rep, tech rep, rope access pro and a climbing guide.
