Backcountry announced the acquisition of Bergfreunde.de, a leading e-commerce company for outdoor enthusiasts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With this acquisition, Backcountry enters the large, growing European market with an established brand.
Bergfreunde.de was founded in 2006. Backcountry has been operating since 1996. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
