Arc'teryx Moving to Mall of America

Arc’teryx is closing its Calhoun Square location in Minneapolis and opening a new store in the Twin Cities’ Mall of America.

Arc’teryx will open its new location on level 1 on the west side of the mall. The 1,685-square-foot store will be located across from an Urban Outfitters and Eyebobs and occupy the former Roger and Hollands space, MOA spokesman Brett Burger said.

Arc’teryx hopes to open the new store on Black Friday (Nov. 19) and close its Calhoun Square location on Sept. 23, said Arc’teryx marketing manager Stephanie Jamieson,

According to Jamieson, the move from the Calhoun location was not due to performance, but rather Arc’teryx wanted to take advantage when a space opened in the Mall of America. However, it does join two other outdoor retailers — The North Face and Columbia Sportswear — in fleeing Uptown this year. Fjällräven still has a store at Calhoun Square.
