Alta Cycling Launches Real Heroes Bike Month Giveaway

Alta Cycling Group has launched the Real Heroes Bike Month Giveaway to celebrate and give back to workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis. Starting today through May 22, Alta is accepting nominations for healthcare workers, teachers, postal employees, grocery employees or anyone who has gone above and beyond to help their communities. Six nominees will be selected to receive a new bike from one of Alta’s five cycling brands— Diamondback, iZip, Raleigh, Haibike and Redline.

To nominate someone for the Real Heroes Giveaway, visit any of Alta’s brand sites, hit the nominate button, and briefly describe how this individual has helped throughout the crisis and how they could benefit from a new bike.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic crisis, Alta has seen essential workers in the community come together to keep one another safe. Everyone at Alta Cycling Group is grateful for those on the frontlines – our real heroes – who are doing an exceptional job helping others during this time,” said Larry Pizzi Chief Commercial Officer of Alta Cycling Group. “If Alta can make a positive impact on someone’s life during this unprecedented time, we are eager to do what we can.”

Once winners are selected, notified by email and have selected their bike, Alta will work within their dealer network and find a local retailer to assemble the bike and deliver it directly to each winner.

Through the Real Heroes Bike Month Giveaway, Alta will showcase its omni-channel business model and allow consumers to follow the journey of a new bicycle – from the warehouse to its new home. Through social media, fans will be able to see and experience the process of how these bicycles travel from Alta’s warehouse to each Real Hero’s front door. Alta’s social channels will detail the journey of each bike – from the quality set-up and assembly by a professional at a local bike dealer to the at-home delivery to our winners. Alta is eager to highlight a number of its retail partners and share the ways in which these dealers are going above and beyond to care for their customers and communities.

“We are thrilled to partner with local bike shops to deliver these gifts to the hardworking people in their community,” said Jill Nazeer, Marketing Director at Alta Cycling Group. “These retailers have been working tirelessly to support their neighbors and we are honored to highlight their efforts and put more smiles on the frontline.”
