Peter Sontheimer, director of Products and member of VAUDE’s executive board will be leaving the company at his own request for family reasons at the end of the year.
Sontheimer, who has been at VAUDE for more than 21 years, strongly influenced the successful development of the VAUDE brand, said the company. He established the bike product range, which he then managed for many years. In 2011 he took over the management of the Products segment with responsibility for all VAUDE products areas including setting strategic direction. In 2014 he became a member of the Executive Board in this function.
“After commuting between Garmisch and Lake Constance for several years, I have decided to leave VAUDE to be closer to my family. I thank VAUDE and the whole team for the trust that was given me over all these years, and for the excellent collaboration that took place,” said Sontheimer.
“We thank Peter for his deep commitment to VAUDE over the last 21 years. I can understand his private motives well, though he will be dearly missed as a person and fellow team member in the company,” said Antje von Dewitz, VAUDE CEO.
