UK-based Equip Outdoor Technologies is discontinuing Lowe Alpine’s apparel line in order to focus resources on its established Rab technical apparel brand and Lowe Alpine packs. The move will take place after this fall/winter season.
Employees who were designing apparel for Lowe Alpine will be reassigned to the Rab Clothing design team, according to the reports. Offices in Lousiville, Colo., have been　focused primarily on Rab clothing and Lowe Alpine　packs, so there will no impact there, says the company. Lowe Alpine apparel was officially launched in Fall 2013.
Equip Outdoor partnered with a private equity firm to buy Lowe Alpine for an undisclosed ammount in the second quarter of 2011. In September, 2013 Equip Outdoor announced it had sold its Podsacs brand to online bike retailer Planet X to focus on Rab and Lowe Alpine.
