Sportsman’s Warehouse Expands in West

Sportsman’s Warehouse CEO John Schaefer announced plans to open seven new stores in the West and Pacific Northwest during the spring and summer of 2014. The stores are expected to open between March and July and will increase the number of Sportsman’s Warehouse locations to 54.

Store openings will include Chico and Rancho Cordova, Calif.; Wenatchee and Kelso, Wash.; Hillsboro, Ore.; Carson City, Nev.; and Vernal, Utah. Best known for its selection of hunting and fishing gear, the Midvale, Utah-based retailer has been expanding its assortments of other recreational gear.
“We are very pleased to increase our presence throughout the western United States in such a significant manner,” noted Schaefer. “The addition of these stores keeps with our business plan, promoting stable growth that will benefit our company, our vendors, and most importantly, our loyal customers for many years to come.”
