Worldwide Elects Board Members

Independent retail buying group Worldwide announced elections to its board of directors with new and returning members.

Charlie Grigg of Grigg’s Enterprises in Pasco, Wa., a long-time member, has returned to serve on the board for a three-year term after a nearly 20 year hiatus. “I’m happy to be back on the Worldwide Board. It’s been part of our business family since 1955,” states Grigg.

Craig Smith of Smith & Edwards in Ogden, Utah, was appointed on the board for the first time. “I am excited and honored to be a part of a great group of people,” notes Smith. ”Worldwide is a key asset to our business and I look forward to serving the group and its members any way possible.”

Worldwide shareholders overwhelmingly approved second three-year terms for current board members Tony Klamm of Wyoming Work Warehouse in Gillette, Wyo., and Wayne Petrus of Tyner Petrus in Monroe, La.

“I am humbled to be re-elected to my second term and look forward to serving the entire membership and Worldwide. The friendships and networking opportunities during the first term were priceless for me personally and for my business,” said Petrus.

Worldwide also honored the retirement of Board Member and past Chairman, Brent Dennis of Dennis Company in Raymond, Wash. Dennis has served on the board several times over the years.

Elected Worldwide Board Members serve a three-year term and can serve two consecutive terms. Currently the board consists of 13 members who represent a wide spectrum of retail geography and store size.
