After dedicated outdoor testing and discussions in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, the international jury of outdoor journalists and outdoor gear specialists announced the winners of the Scandinavian Outdoor Award Spring/Summer 2025.

The Overall Winner is FabPatch. To fix a hole or tear in apparel and outdoor gear to lengthen their lifespan is one of the most sustainable things to do. Currently, FabPatch is available for rainwear, merino and stretch fabrics. They contain a high amount of certified recycled materials.

The Sustainability Award went to Icebug Jarv RB9X. Icebug’s new trail running shoe features a high content of recycled and biobased materials. True ScandinavianHelle Nying. When Helle introduced the Nying in 1975, the Norwegian outdoor-knife manufacturer created a new category: a knife with a sturdy but short blade, made out of the legendary triple laminated stainless steel and a birch handle. It was perfect to carry with you for most outdoor adventures. Today, the Nying is still as functionally and beautifully made. It continues to be one of the bestsellers from Helle – and is a great example for the Scandinavian approach to product design that is driven by real life innovation and long lasting materials.
