Vista Outdoor Inc. has named Dave Allen as Senior Vice President of Sales, effective May 9, 2016. Allen will report to Chairman and CEO Mark DeYoung.
Allen will have responsibility for leading Vista Outdoor’s recently repositioned portfolio of domestic, international, law enforcement and government sales.
Allen was recently the President of Coleman USA for the Jarden Corporation. He also served as the SVP for Sales and Marketing in the Americas for the Coleman Company and as SVP and General Manager for the Walmart and Sam’s Customer Team for Jarden Outdoor Solutions. Allen held leadership positions in customer development for Alberto Culver, and Unilever North America and Unilever Europe.
“Dave has deep P&L, sales and marketing experience, and a proven track record of successful leadership in a variety of top consumer products companies,” said DeYoung. “He will be responsible for the strategy and execution of our sales-related functions, integrating acquisitions into a global sales model, and serving as a key member of my executive leadership team. Dave will work closely with our marketing teams, product development teams, and our customers as we pursue leadership in the individual outdoor recreation market. He has extensive experience with our channels and customers.”
