Thorlo Opts Out of Outdoor Retailer Shows

Citing “significant shifts in show attendance over the last few years,” Thorlo Inc. said it would not attend Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016 and is suspending future show participation. It is the first time the brand will miss an Outdoor Retailer show since the event’s inception, said the company.

“The decision to move the timing of this year’s winter show resulted in fewer legitimate retailers attending the show,” Thorlo Vice President of Sales James Jesserer said. That led the brand to question whether Outdoor Retailer “is the right investment to reach outdoor accounts.”

Jesserer said Thorlo “will continue to invest in meaningful ways to connect with and support outdoor retailers and consumers.” That includes “a presence at the rep regional shows that our independent reps currently attend.”
