Terramar Sports announced that they have become a corporate sponsor for Big City Mountaineers, an organization that instills critical life skills in under-served urban youth through wilderness mentoring expeditions. Terramar will be donating hundreds of base layer products for the program along with financial support.
Big City Mountaineer has 1,000 youth participants nationwide and is growing rapidly with 45,000 volunteer hours with adult mentors and extensive partnership networks. Their board, management team and corporate partners include trusted and tested leaders “who walk the talk” while championing kids.
“Because so many of their core values are right in line with ours, it was a natural fit for us to partner with Big City Mountaineers,” said Ben Lieberman, Terramar’s CEO. “Through backpacking, climbing and paddling experiences, Big City Mountaineers tries to instill integrity, responsibility, self-esteem, and communications skills in their youth. Similarly our goal as a brand is to enable outdoor enthusiasts to feel comfortable and instill confidence through the base layer they wear outdoors and in all their activities.”
