Ferndale, Wash.-based Seattle Manufacturing Corporation (SMC) announced the appointment of Evan Wert as Global Director of Sales and Marketing. Wert is charged with bolstering the brand image and sales channel direction, as SMC enters a new era of design and development of premium gear for the Mountaineering and Rescue markets.
Wert joins SMC after a 30 year career in the outdoor and footwear industries, which includes opening one of the first custom ski boot fitting shops, in Breckenridge, Colorado, in 1983. Since then, he has spent his time in both the retail and manufacturing sides of the outdoor industry, nurturing relationships, building and executing retail and marketing strategies.

Combined with his personal outdoor experience, Evan will be the leading edge of our sales and marketing efforts at SMC.”
