Named after Oregon’s Owyhee Canyonlands located in the far southeast corner of the state, the Wild Owyhee is part of Six Moon Designs’ Zero-Gravity (Zero-G) premium line of ultralight Dyneema products and weighs just 16 oz. It features full perimeter and vent netting, making it one of the best ultralight shelters for 360 degree weather coverage and bug protection. It has a dual pole design with a 48″ wide canopy that provides a great amount of headroom with the center peak offset slightly toward the head of the shelter. It’s flanked on either side with a zippered, vestibule door for storage and separate entry. The Wild Owyhee can be set up using adjustable trekking poles or optional aluminum or carbon fiber poles (sold separately), and dual tabs on either side of the canopy allow the Wild Owyhee to also be hung from a line between two trees, eliminating the need for poles altogether.
To help protect the Owyhee Canyonlands for generations to come, Six Moon Designs will give $20 of every sale of their Wild Owyhee shelter (MSRP: $600) to the ONDA so they can continue their work in protecting and restoring the land.
