Royal Robbins Embarks on Cross Country Road Trip

Royal Robbins has kicked off its 14-week cross country #BeyondTheMap road trip adventure, and is currently in Austin, Texas before heading to California’s Bay Area later this week.

The tour, which covers more than 10,000 miles and 30 U.S. states, features a custom-built tent and travel trunks that serve as a Royal Robbins’ mobile showroom. The tour is making scheduled stops across the country, including Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival in Seattle (Aug. 30 – Sept. 1) and Denver Oktoberfest (Sept. 20 – 22). In between visits to major concerts, events, festivals, and retailers, the two Royal Robbins tour brand ambassadors will take part in hikes, paddles, swims, and rides at National Parks and other locations, sharing their excursions on social media so followers can stay up-to-date on their latest adventures and get inspired by vacation-worthy destinations.

With sustainability as a core brand pillar for the company, the #BeyondTheMap road trip tour will employ solar generators, biodiesel and carbon-offsets to reduce the impact of the trip.

“The #BeyondTheMap tour is a celebration of the spirit of adventure upon which our brand was founded,” said Kari Rice, marketing director for Royal Robbins “It’s about keeping yourself open to experiencing the unplanned, unscheduled moments during a trip that transform your experience and stick with you for years to come, whether it’s discovering a hole-in-the-wall cafe or taking a break to enjoy the local street musicians.”

The public is invited to stop by the tent during local activations to check out new apparel, fill out custom postcards, design their own travel tree, and pick up a Royal Robbins Field Notes journal.
