Rocky Mountain Underground Launches Apparel Line

Breckenridge, Colo-based Rocky Mountain Underground has been known mostly as a manufacturer of hand-made skis. Today the company announced its new apparel and accessory line of products all made in the USA. Rocky Mountain Underground says it is committed to keeping its products at the highest level of US-based manufacturing and the benchmark for top-quality gear.

Embarking on both men’s and women’s pieces, the core line is focused on pieces that are simple, exceptionally functional and committed to multi-sport use, says RMU. Highlights of the line include the Charlie Boy Zip for men, women’s Samso Pant and an innovative, all-season Dry Pack, which is the only piece in the line not made in the US.

Made of wicking Polartec fabric, the Charlie Boy is a minimalist full-front zip with deep pockets designed as a layer, an outerwear piece or whatever works that day. The Samso Pant is designed to be extra durable with soft, four-way stretch moisture wicking fabric. The 30 liter Dry Pack is a fully seam-sealed, waterproof, ergonomic pack suitable for any activity that demands a certain level of respect for the unpredictability of an adventure-based lifestyles.

Mike Waesche, Founder of RMU, says, “One of our goals is to provide year-round opportunity for our business and remain dialed into our customer’s needs and wants. There are core clothing items and pieces of gear we, as life-enthusiasts, use every day and we found that making these to the same standards as our skis was a great fit. No matter what season, condition or situation you are jumping into, these are the ‘go-to’ things that never leave the quiver.”
