OR to Highlight Urban Lifestyle Brands

Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2014 announced a new featured experience called Venture Out as part of its event to be held this August 6-9, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. This area will be home to like-minded brands that represent the growing urban and lifestyle trend that has influenced and invigorated the modern outdoor movement, say show organizers.

“Venture Out was designed to help brands validate the fact that outdoor function does exist in a fashionable solution, while expanding their brand reach to new market segments,” says the show.

Venture Out, located in Pavilion 2, will feature a mix of brand presentations, media, design, common space, food and culture, to help showcase this outdoor trend. There will be no booth to set up, and no need to organize freight logistics, shipping or securing carpet and electrical, traditionally required for a standard tradeshow exhibit. Outdoor Retailer has designed a menu of in-booth merchandising solutions (racks, tables, shelving) which will be provided to participating brands. Leading brands that have signed on to participate include, Poler, SeaVees, Pendleton, Duckworth, tentree, Zeal Optics and Topo Designs, among others.
“The creative concept for the Venture Out area was born out of the needs and desires of retailers and brands seeking the mix of grit and ruggedness experienced in the natural environment with the aesthetic of the urban,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer National Sales Director. “More and more the two worlds are colliding, athletic gear is being worn to the office, and technology is powering our outdoor adventures. This new destination will highlight the brands at the forefront of this trend and will be a great place to conduct business.”
