Outdoor Retailer announced that it will host its Open Air Demo July 30, at a new location, Pineview Reservoir (Port Ramp Marina), near Ogden, Utah. Low snow pack and runoff from the High Uintah Mountains has left the Jordanelle Reservoir, operating at less than 70 percent capacity – and dropping, making it an unsuitable venue for the demo event,” say show organizers.
A detailed FAQ about the location change decision and photos from Outdoor Retailer’s July site visit are now available online at outdoorretailer.com.
“Outdoor Retailer demo attendees will benefit greatly from Pineview Reservoir, a higher-altitude lake being fed by the Wasatch Range snowpack,” said Kenji Haroutunian, Emerald Expositions vice president and Outdoor Retailer show director. “While Pineview water levels are also lower than usual, conditions have revealed sandy beaches with very few rocky areas. In addition, the distance from Downtown Salt Lake is relatively the same.”
At a new location secured, OAD will again offer show attendees access to the latest products and development teams from 140 outdoor brands. Qualified attendees can pick up their show badges at the Salt Palace Convention Center, and shuttles will run from the convention center to the demo all day.
