NW Alpine Appoints National Sales Manager

NW Alpine, manufacturer of American-made alpine climbing apparel, appointed industry veteran, John Campbell as national sales manager. Campbell will be responsible for overseeing all domestic sales duties for NW Alpine and growing the base of specialty retail accounts in the U.S.

Campbell brings more than two decades of sales and marketing experience in the outdoor industry to the NW Alpine. Prior to assuming the new position, Campbell held several sales management positions, both domestically and internationally. Most notably, he spent eight years at Cloudveil where he was the company’s first sales rep, growing his territory into the largest sales territory in the U.S. He also served as the North American sales manager for Macpac, based in New Zealand, where he was responsible for launching the brand in North America.

Campbell got his start building backpacks and clothing for himself while still in school, and eventually worked at the original Dana Designs factory in Bozeman, Mont., sewing backpacks. He has also worked for other notable brands in the industry such as DMM, Wild Country, Sterling Rope, G3, TUA, Western Mountaineering, Kayland, Boreal and Integral Designs. In addition, he runs the sales and marketing for Crux in the USA.

“The opportunity to work with and help grow a strong, young brand like NW Alpine is exciting,” said Campbell. “The brand is really filling a niche with technical alpine climbing apparel and increasing demand for Made in USA products.”
