New Balance has bought its Italian distributor, Gartner Sports, which has been an exclusive New Balance distributor since 1996. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fran Allen, New Balance’s vice-president of the EMEA region, said the deal is part of a strategy to extend the brand’s reach and broaden its influence with active consumers across our European markets.
According to Christian Gartner, Gartner’s chief executive, “We felt that this was the right time for us to forge a closer link with New Balance. Both our companies share the same spirit of enterprise and we were inspired by the vision of becoming a member of the New Balance family.”
