On Friday, June 28, Marmot will open a new flagship retail store in Greenwich, Conn.. The Greenwich location marks the opening of Marmot’s sixth fully owned, operated and branded store since it began retail operations in 2009.
Marmot’s North American flagship stores to date include San Francisco (CA), Chicago (IL) and Aspen (CO). Two international locations: London (UK) and Nuremburg (Germany) were opened in 2012. The new store will be located at 165 Greenwich Ave.
While the company has established numerous concept stores worldwide—more than 180—and at least 30 partnership stores globally, Marmot’s fully-branded flagship stores allow the company to tell the most complete story of products, technologies and brand messaging, says the company.
“Our flagship stores allow us the greatest opportunity to provide our customers a comprehensive brand experience, hallmarked by our product selection, design voice and color—as well as our core values of performance, quality, durability and innovation,” explains Mark Martin, President of Marmot Mountain LLC and Jarden Technical Apparel—a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation, Marmot’s parent company.
Martin adds, “From the moment our customers walk through the door, we speak to them through our products, merchandising, graphics and fixtures—their shopping experience is enjoyable and our brand message is integrated and clear.”
