LIVSN Designs Welcomes New Product Manager, Head of Sustainability

LIVSN Designs, an outdoor apparel company that believes what we own should be purposeful and in service of what we do, added Abby Hollis (pictured) to the company as Product Manager and Head of Sustainability.

Hollis, in this newly created role, will lead the development of new products, refine LIVSN’s current product range, audit the brand’s environmental impact and advance sustainability standards and goals.

An Ozark native who grew up in Fayetteville, Hollis holds a BFA, Fibers and Design for Sustainability from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has also studied textile systems in Arkansas and Georgia, plus Hong Kong, India and Peru, where she worked to build cultural literacy and foster improved understanding of the global impact of fashion. Hollis’ passion for building a fashion industry that serves both its makers and consumers led her to found Ozark Fibershed, a nonprofit that develops regional fiber systems that build ecosystem and community health.

“We’re incredibly proud to have Abby joining the team, and I’ve no doubt that her passion and expertise will bring LIVSN to the next level,” said LIVSN Founder, Andrew Gibbs-Dabney. “She’ll not only be working directly with me on product design, but she’ll also be heading up our ongoing efforts in sustainability. We have ambitions to be the best in the world, and that means we also have an obligation to take care of our environment. Our products walk the walk now, but there’s still room to grow and I’m confident Abby will be a leader in the space.”

“A few years back, I heard about an Arkansas brand that prioritized classic style, function, versatility and durability in the outdoor apparel space: LIVSN,” said Hollis. “I reached out to Andrew as a mentor; we think about products and sustainability in a similar way. A year and a half later I started in my new role. I’m endlessly grateful to have found a home at a company that cares about the right stuff and for the opportunity to work in the spaces that I care most about.”
