Mike Abbott, who joined Keen less than a month ago as its president, has left the company. An official statement has not yet come from Keen but Abbot was not available or attending the Outdoor Retailer show, at which he did have appointments scheduled.
Keen will run by its founder, owner and current CEO, Rory Fuerst, at least in the interim presumably until a replacement is named. Although Keen declined to confirm that a new president would be hired.
Abbott was formerly COO of Specialized Bicycles and COO/CFO of Burton Snowboards. He replaced Keen’s former president, James Curleigh, who was appointed executive vice president and president of the Levi’s brand in July 2012.
