Hillsound Adds Midwest Rep

Hillsound, a producer of footwear traction equipment and gaiters for urban and outdoor enthusiasts, announced the addition of Rick Thompson to represent the brand in the Midwest. Simultaneously, the brand has also signed on new Japanese and Hawaiian distributors, expanding the company’s U.S. and global presence in these key markets.

Thompson has been in the outdoor industry for nearly 20 years and will be servicing retailers in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. He currently works with Dock Rite, Seger of Sweden, Gloves International and Pau Hana Surf Supply.

“Being an avid outdoor enthusiast, I was drawn to the quality of Hillsound’s products and their commitment to service and innovation in this category,” said Thompson.  “I’m excited about the enthusiasm surrounding the brand, and can’t wait to take them to the next level here in the Midwest.”

Hillsound has also partnered with Kenkosya Pty Ltd. in Japan, which currently distributes Sherpa, Injinji, Big Agnes, Terra Nova and Vargo.  In Hawaii, Justin Cruz will distribute Hillsound to tackle the growing demand for mud traction devices among hikers in the Hawaiian Islands.
