Gearhead Outfitters, a family-owned outdoor specialty retailer led by Ted and Amanda Herget, announced the expansion of its community to Colorado. This growth specifically comes via the acquisition of two Summit Canyon Mountaineering stores.
The expansion elevates GHO’s footprint to over 20 locations, spanning Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois and Colorado, with new locations in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction signifying a large step in the company’s journey.
Summit Canyon Mountaineering ranks among Colorado’s most established outdoor specialty brands. GHO eagerly anticipates expanding upon the business’s four-decade legacy of success by enriching the product selection and reinvesting in the team. Customers can expect the same level of personalized service they are used to, along with some interior and exterior upgrades as GHO rebrands and reinvents the respective retail spaces over the next few months.
