Fox River Incorporates Tencel in New Series

Moisture wicking and volumetric compression ran into softness, resulting in Fox River’s new PEAK Series Sport Collection of socks designed to help get the most out of any sport performance. Building on the success of PEAK Series Outdoor and Snow lines, The PEAK Series Sport Collection is knit with soft TENCEL yarn, made of eucalyptus cellulose fiber that disperses water vapor and inhibits bacteria growth for a dry, comfortable performance, says the company.

The softness of the fiber combines with targeted cushion zones to provide a light landing. NanoGlide nylon reinforces and is designed to nearly eliminate friction and heat build-up that leads to blisters.

The line also features Helix Fit, which forms to the foot with a volumetric compression fit and zone-specific features that enhance comfort, such as reduced volume to remove spot bunching, anti-slip anchor zones, memory-knit construction and a comfort rib top, as well as comfort mesh ventilation zones. Wick Dry moisture management technology keeps feet dry, while reinforced heels and toes extend the life of the socks.

“We’re really excited about adding the Sport Collection to the premium PEAK Series,” said John Lessard, President of Fox River. “The Outdoor and Snow lines have gotten such good reviews, and we think the Helix Fit can make a big difference in the intense performances of runners, cyclists, and multisport athletes, too.” The Helix Fit was designed to give athletes an edge on their next challenge, allowing them to push a little further and achieve more with an unparalleled fitting sock.

The PEAK Series Sport Collection comes in crew, quarter crew and ankle heights for men and women in fashionable color combinations designed for visibility and style. SRPs are $12.99 for ankle and quarter crew heights and $13.99 for crew heights. The series will begin shipping September 30, 2013.
